The scope and sequence for first grade in Let’s Read English prepare explicit information on every topic and concept that will be taught in mathematics, language arts, and science for students.
All families will comprehend what their children will learn, the arrangement of concepts being taught, and learning goals for every subject. The scope and sequence for first grade are arranged chronologically chapter by chapter and it also contains lesson description and the number of activities for each lesson.

Read whole numbers up to 100. Use one-to-one correspondence to count objects up to 100.
Compare and order whole numbers up to 100 by understanding the concepts of greater than, less than, and equality.
Match ordinal numbers with an ordered set of up to ten items. Identify first, second, and third by name.
Count forward and backward by ones and count forward by tens from any number less than 100.
Identify the place value of a digit in whole numbers to 100. Identify the value of digits up to the hundreds place.
Count forward by twos and fives up to 50.
Model and identify even and odd numbers.

Giant redwood trees, soft green blades of grass, bright tulips blooming in spring — plants are living things. This module introduces students to the world of plants as they discover that the needs of plants are much like their own needs.
Whether rainy, sunny, cloudy, or windy, the weather describes what it’s like outside every day. Knowing the patterns of weather can help you to be prepared. In this module students explore the different types of weather and the tools needed to observe, measure and record it.
